Ride BLUE to Save & Be GREEN |
Parking at KCI Airport’s Economy Lot is not only the least expensive parking on airport property (at $5.50/day), it also allows you to participate in one of many “green” initiatives at the airport. All of the blue Eco Lot buses are fueled by compressed natural gas (CNG), not petroleum-derived gasoline like other parking operators’ vehicles.
You can feel good about parking at KCI because CNG…
…is the cleanest burning fuel operating today.
…vehicles produce the fewest emissions of any motor fuel.
…causes little or no emissions during fueling.
...is more abundant.
…is less expensive than gasoline or diesel.
The KCI Airport Economy Parking Lot is a 15,000-space facility and is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It features three, terminal-specific lots in which travelers park to access dedicated shuttle buses dispatched by GPS. The lots are the closest long-term parking and always patrolled and monitored. Economy Parking is also dotted with numerous bus shuttle shelters adorned with a unique numbering and icon system to help travelers remember where they parked. The shelters are heated in the cooler months and offer shade in the summer.
And at only $5.50 per day, you can feel good about the price too. To learn more about all our parking facilities – Economy, Garage, Circle – click here.
The Kansas City Airport System is an enterprise fund department of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, and is supported wholly by airport user charges. No general tax fund revenues are used for the administration, promotion, operation or maintenance of the airports in the system.
